Nature Adventure Day!

The children followed each other in a pizza circle to make a "game board" in the snow.  Two children were foxes and they chased the other children who were the geese.

The children had to stay inside the tracks they made!  It was fun to watch and the children enjoyed the game learning about predators and prey in the outdoors.  Three groups of children then went exploring in the snowy woods looking for animal tracks.  It was a magical day in the deep snow!

Artwork inspired by Henri Matisse

 

The children learned about Henri Matisse and how when he became bedridden he continued to create artwork using scissors to cut shapes.  The children began cutting shapes with scissors to create their own masterpiece and then wrote a story to go with the picture.  Here is some of their work!  Enjoy!
